The Antigua Town Hall from the Department of Tourism organizes in Caleta de Fuste, this Friday, May 23, the Muestra de Costumbres Canarias in the Plaza de El Castillo from 17:30 to 22:30 hours.
The Muestra de Costumbres Canarias offers the opportunity to enjoy the gastronomy, music and traditions of the Canary Islands to both residents and tourists who visit us these days, says the Councilor for Tourism, Kristina Rodewig.
The Muestra de Costumbres Canarias, says Councilwoman Rodewig, concentrates in the Plaza de El Castillo, the products of our land, as well as games of yesteryear and folk music, and adds the councilwoman, inviting tourists to enjoy it, in turn, promoting their visit to local stores and establishments nearby, both restaurants and bars and cafes.
In the colorful and extensive program of the Muestra de Costumbres Canarias, among the performances, the Canarian folklore of the Parranda El Callao, the Agrupación Tetir El Rincón and Cinco en Clave with Timbeque stand out. Music and dance will accompany the show cooking offered by Francisco El Molinero with gofio pellets and sweets from the past, workshops and traditional games for all ages practicing the Game of Palo Canario, as well as the sample of the donkey and the majorera goat.
