The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Sports organizes the XIII Milla Barceló Caleta de Fuste to be held this Friday May 23 at 18:00 pm in the Avenida de El Castillo and has the main collaboration of the Island Athletics Federation, in addition to the sponsorship of the Barceló Hotel Group and the program of aid to the sport of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
Thirteen years organizing the urban mile in Caleta de Fuste, a popular race consolidated and that just open online registration confirms more than 300 athletes registered, says the councilman, Samuel Torres Mesa, who recalls that registrations are free and can also be made on Friday from 16:30 hours, next to the starting and finishing arch of the race.
In this new edition of the Milla Barceló Caleta de Fuste is pleased to confirm that the sponsor of this popular event will be the athlete from Antigua and Canary Islands Trail 2025 Champion, José Hernández Ojeda, says the mayor, Matías Peña.
To highlight the participation every year of Barceló Hotel Group, demonstrating its involvement once again in promoting sporting events such as this urban mile, but also its collaboration in the festivities of Caleta de Fuste or in promoting attractive activities in the town, and concludes the mayor, a magnificent relationship of collaboration with the Municipality of Antigua, which is maintained and strengthened every day.
