The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Festivities and Citizen Participation, informs the neighborhood associations of the municipality of the opening of the deadline to apply for grants for the organization of festivals in different villages and neighborhoods of the municipality.
As of Tuesday, May 20, all interested neighborhood associations will be able to submit their applications. The deadline will remain open until May 29, 2025, inclusive.
This municipal initiative has a budget of 120,000 euros, which will be distributed among the applicant entities that meet the requirements established in the call for proposals.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, stressed that “the festivals of the villages and neighborhoods are not only part of our tradition and our popular culture, but are also a way to strengthen ties between neighbors and energize the social life of the municipality. From the government group we will continue to actively support these spaces of coexistence and community participation”.
The Councillor for Festivities, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, stressed the importance of “continuing to support popular festivals as meeting places, tradition and identity of our municipality”.
For its part, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Jenifer Perez, stressed that “this type of subsidies can energize life in villages and neighborhoods and encourage the direct involvement of citizens in the organization of festive activities”.
The rules of the call and the application form will be available at the electronic headquarters of the City Council, in the area of Citizen Participation and in the area of Festivities.
