The City Council of La Oliva, through the Department of Education, led by Omaira Saavedra, develops ‘Common Bonds’, a day that seeks to make visible and strengthen the Aulas En Clave of the municipality, spaces that provide assistance to students with special needs through educational support. In this sense, on April 29, the Aula en Clave of La Oliva met with the Aula En Clave of Ceuta, thus creating a bridge of experiences, learning and affection between territories.
The meeting began with its round table, a space in which families, teachers and monitors had the opportunity to directly present their needs and proposals to policy makers from different areas of the municipal government group. The objective was to generate a dialogue in which, through ideas and personal experiences, they could work towards the construction of more inclusive environments that are more attentive to diversity.
During this day, different creativity, fantasy and emotional management workshops were also developed in an atmosphere of enjoyment in which free expression and connection became the protagonists of the afternoon. As a final touch, the participants enjoyed a relaxing sound bath, promoting wellbeing and calm among the participants.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, highlights the relevance of a day like ‘Common Bonds’: “Through a meeting like this, all the people involved, whether they are the families themselves or the teachers and monitors, share different premises on which to work in search of environments that provide optimal conditions for these students.
For her part, the Councilor for Education, Omaira Saavedra, adds: “From the Department we believe it is necessary to make available to all those involved in the development of these Aulas En Clave a space in which to express their opinions, ideas and proposals. With this action, we intend to put ourselves in the shoes of those who live closely this reality, whether families, monitors and teachers, with the ultimate goal of being able to move towards an improvement of these environments.”
