The investment includes both uniform items and tools.
The Department of Safety and Emergencies of the City Council of Pájara has invested more than 45,000 euros in equipment for the departments of Fire Fighting, Civil Protection and Beaches in order to improve their response capacity and the safety of personnel in critical situations.
The councilman of the area, Raimundo Dacosta, stresses the importance of this new equipment that “will allow professionals to have the necessary resources to perform their work more effectively and safely”.
The equipment purchased includes firefighting boots, jackets and pants for the forest fire station, tinted safety goggles, rescue gloves, helmets with lamps and a multipurpose firefighting motor pump. Portable multi-expansion foam units, bilge and evacuation pumps with floats, and fire lances with triggers have also been incorporated.
In addition, the councilman highlights the acquisition of new uniforms for firefighters, civil protection and beach personnel, including “T-shirts, polo shirts, breathable pants, bicolor vests, caps, jackets and neck braces, among other items”.
With this investment, the Consistory reiterates its commitment to the continuous improvement of the resources destined to the security of the municipality, guaranteeing an agile and effective response to any type of emergency.
